Vision 2025 Update
Several years ago, Wycliffe and our global partners were uncertain how God would
make Vision 2025 — a God-sized vision to have a translation program in progress in
every language still needing one by the year 2025 — a reality. In the years that
followed, God amazed us by how He inspired local churches around the world to
partner in the work of Bible translation so people could have Scripture in languages
and formats they clearly understand.
As we move further into 2025, God continues to do an incredible work in the Bible
translation movement. Today there are over 800* known Vision 2025 languages still
waiting for translation work to begin. While we’re unsure if God will bring this
number to zero before Dec. 31, 2025, we do know that each day He is faithfully
bringing us closer to our promised future in Revelation 7:9a (NLT):
“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and
people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.”
God is using your prayers and generous gifts to advance Bible translation
efforts globally, drawing us toward that glorious day. Thank you for being
part of this Kingdom work! You are helping more people around the world
receive Scripture in their language, and we’re so grateful for your faithfulness.
