Even though there are so many
languages still waiting, the Bible is
available in more languages in Papua
New Guinea than any other country
in the world. It’s cool to see how more
and more people are getting the Bible
every day!
My language is called Yopno, and we
have the book of Psalms and the New
Testament in our language. I was a
little boy when the New Testament
was printed in Yopno in 2010. I
couldn’t read, and I was too young to
understand what the pastor was saying
in church.
But now that I’m older, I can read the
Bible for myself! My favorite story is
when Jesus fed 5,000 people with only
昀椀ve loaves of bread and two 昀椀sh. That’s
just amazing! I can’t even imagine what
that much food would look like. You can
read that story in Matthew 14:13–21,
but here’s what some of it looks like
in Yopno.

You know, every time a language gets a
Bible, it’s kind of like Jesus multiplying
the 昀椀sh and loaves of bread. One Bible
can reach many people who speak that
language, and people who decide to
believe in Jesus can multiply over and
over again. That’s one of the coolest
miracles of all!
