It takes a lot of hard work and time to
reach our home. There are no roads,
and paths can be very hard to 昀椀nd
and follow. There are even parts of
the jungle that no one has ever been
through before! But thankfully some
missionaries made the long, hard
journey to 昀椀nd us and help us get
God’s Word in Nadëb.
Those missionaries are named
Rodolfo and Beatrice Senn. Before
they came, we didn’t know
that there was someone
out there who thought we
were important enough to
send His only Son to save
us—God!
But Rodolfo and Beatrice
helped us know Jesus.
They worked for 16
years before they
昀椀nished translating
the New Testament.

As we learned more about God, we
realized that we wanted to know
Him. We wanted to 昀椀nd joy in Him!
Following Jesus would be our new
goal in life.
We were all very excited the day
the New Testament was dedicated.
We sang and danced and laughed.
Everyone was 昀椀lled with joy because
we 昀椀nally had the Bible.
We even made special shirts in
bright colors for people to
wear—orange, red, pink,
blue, and purple. On
the front of the shirts,
we wrote Matthew 24:35
in our language, which
says, “Badäk hahỹỹh, wë na-ããj da
ahëëj jëë né paawä, kẽh ỹỹ da dooh tahëëj
bä.” In English it reads, “Heaven and
earth will disappear, but my words
will never disappear.” That is a verse
we always want to remember!
